The University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint a Senior Administrative Officer to support the work of Education Services. The role will contribute to the delivery of institutional priorities through the provision of high-level administrative support across a range of strategic and operational activities. Reporting to the Education Services Senior Leadership Team, the postholder will work across multiple teams, supporting policy development, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance with internal and external requirements. Key Responsibilities Include Providing administrative support to senior leaders and teams across Education Services, particularly during periods of transition or increased operational demand. Leading the development and review of institutional policies and strategic documentation, including background research and stakeholder engagement. Supporting the planning and delivery of cross-cutting initiatives aligned with the University's educational objectives. Identifying and implementing improvements to administrative processes, including assessing resource implications and delivering training or guidance as appropriate. Coordinating the preparation and submission of institutional returns, such as the Access and Participation Plan and the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). Supporting risk identification and mitigation planning across administrative functions. Providing interim cover for senior administrative roles, including line management and budget oversight, where required. The successful candidate will have significant experience in a senior administrative role, preferably within a higher education or similarly complex environment. Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
