Job Description

We are looking for an experienced senior attorney to help clients achieve favorable outcomes with legal matters. You will advocate for clients, advise them on the best course of action, and implement their legal support plan. You should have previous trial experience, be able to manage a heavy caseload, and use your general counsel experience and interpersonal skills to mentor our lower-level associates to ensure a continued legacy of prosperity. If this sounds like an opportunity that is ideal for you, please contact us today.

Compensation:

$120,000 - $150,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
* Attend court hearings on behalf of clients and argue motions
* Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws
* Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
* Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts
* Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses
* Conduct client meetings to develop custom estate planning and elder law strategies.
* Draft and review estate planning documents, including Revocable Living Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Proxies.
* Handle estate administration and probate matters, assisting families in efficiently navigating the legal process after the passing of a loved one.
* Advocate for seniors and their families in matters of long-term care planning, Medicaid planning, and guardianship.
* Represent clients in probate court proceedings, trust administration matters, and elder law cases.
* Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants, delegating work while maintaining oversight.
* Stay up to date on changes in Massachusetts estate planning, probate, and elder law to ensure clients receive the most current legal guidance.
Qualifications:
* 5 years of required experience as a senior associate in the legal field
* Persuasive writing skills and verbal communication skills are critical, along with time management and interpersonal skills
* Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
* Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations
* Bachelor’s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree)
* Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
* 7+ years of experience in estate planning, estate administration, probate, and elder law.
* Strong case management skills and the ability to navigate Massachusetts probate and elder law processes with confidence.
* A client-first mindset—seeing each case as an opportunity to protect and support families through life’s transitions.
* Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to handle complex cases independently while also collaborating with a dedicated legal team.
* Active member in good standing with the Massachusetts State Bar.
* Experience advocating for clients in probate hearings, elder law disputes, and Medicaid planning cases.

Who You Are:

* A seasoned estate planning and probate attorney who understands the importance of family legacy and elder care.
* A compassionate advocate who can guide families through the complexities of estate administration, probate, and long-term care planning.
* A proactive professional who stays ahead of legal changes and continuously seeks ways to improve client service.
* Someone who thrives in a fast-growing law firm embraces new challenges and values teamwork.
* Punctual, professional, and dedicated to providing exceptional client service.
