Position:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Workshop Leader to join our team here at the Arts and Crafts Centre in Knaresborough. The ideal candidate will be an excellent problem-solver, have creative energy and be proactive. You will be leading activities to Artmakers with a range of disabilities in our Performing Arts workshop, but this does not mean all drama - think sensory play, team games and much more. We are looking for someone to create activities tailored to individual needs and we are open to fresh ideas for this workshop
Salary: £5,390.53 per annum
Hours per week: 8 (Thursdays 8:30-16:30pm)
Weeks per year: 52
Closing date: 30th September noon
Interview dates: 1st October onwards
Requirements:
Essential Skills Required:
* Understanding of needs of people with learning difficulties
* An ability to inspire and encourage others towards working and creating
* Ability to instruct small groups of adults
* Commitment to inclusive/ individualised learning
Desirable Skills Required:
* Experience of working in an Arts/ Education environment
* Experience of working with people with visual impairment/ other disabilities
* Producing development plans appropriate to individual needs
* To be able to use IT equipment
