Are you passionate about Transport planning and the vibrant world of live music? We’re looking for an experienced Transport planner to complement our existing team and plan for all aspects of our music tour trucks and routes.
Pay Rates:
* £38,000 - £42,000 per annum depending on experience.
Shift Patterns:
* Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:00 with 1 hour break.
* Flexibility to cover odd Saturdays.
* Mobile phone out of hours cover.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and adjust transport plans as necessary to address changes in demand or unforeseen issues.
* Ensuring all jobs are allocated in a timely manner.
* Allocate trailers to the relevant jobs.
* Ensuring any Carnet requirements are in place, along with ferry crossings, permits and double drivers.
* Liaising with the drivers during their allocated job being live.
* Coordinate with the client and obtain contact details and timings for collection and deliveries.
* Stay up to date with changes in transport legislation and industry best practices.
* Liaise with drivers and customers to ensure smooth general operations.
* Discover, develop and maintain new business relationships with customers.
* Provide clear instructions and support drivers regarding routes, schedules and delivery requirements.
* Address any issues or delays promptly and effectively, maintaining high standards of customer service.
* Be available to take out of hours calls as and when required.
Skills and Knowledge:
* Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements - Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* A strong planning background in European Transportation.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet management is a plus.
* Ability to engage clearly, professionally and effectively with customers, drivers and colleagues.
* Skills in prioritising tasks, managing competing deadlines, and staying organised in a fast-paced environment.
* Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* A strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
* Able to adapt to changing business needs and priorities including working outside regular working hours.
