Job Description
Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a dynamic, self-motivated Assistant Buyer to work at our customers site in Derby on a Full time contract basis.
Role details:
Job title: Assistant Buyer
Contract length: 12 months
Location: Derby
Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella solutionKey responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create request for quotations in accordance with business requirements
Ensure compliant documentation is in line with agreed process
Support daily operations calls as required
Generate and distribute procurement reports
Assist with supplier onboarding process and manage supplier records/documentation
Act as a procurement point of contact for the Commodity team
Resolve supplier payment issues, escalating as necessary
Arranging transport for material supply
Managing Requisition and Order Stops process for the team
General procurement administration and support as needed
Qualifications
Previous experience in an administrative or procurement support role
Strong communication skills and a desire to help others
Proactive attitude with the ability to build relationships internally and externally
Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organisational skills
Comfortable using Excel, Outlook, Teams and other standard applications
Additional Information
**Security clearance**
This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
