HR Advisor – Change & Transformation

About the Role
Following a recent reorganisation within the HR function, we are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters within designated business areas.
You will play a key role in supporting the HR Operations and Advisory team while contributing to ongoing change and transformation initiatives, helping the organisation achieve its strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
* Provide timely, accurate, and pragmatic advice on employee relations matters
* Support and attend management and employee meetings
* Manage a variety of ER cases including:
* Disciplinary and grievance processes
* Absence and performance management
* Probation reviews
* Restructuring activity
* Family-friendly policies (e.g., maternity, paternity, adoption)
Change & Transformation
* Lead on allocated transformation initiatives within your business area
* Design and deliver training to upskill managers on ER case management
* Develop and maintain manager toolkits (templates, guides, and resources)
* Support training on HR systems, including time and attendance platforms
* Contribute to company-wide roadshows and engagement initiatives
Data & Insights
* Provide meaningful HR data analysis to support decision-making
* Report on:
* Employee relations trends
* Absence and attrition rates
* Identify areas for proactive intervention
HR Business Partner Support
* Support HR Business Partners across key people initiatives, including:
* Pay and reward activities (salary reviews, benchmarking, bonuses)
* Talent and succession planning
* Employee engagement and retention programmes
* Organisational design and workforce planning
* Recruitment approvals and HR projects
Shared Services Support
* Assist with HR shared services activities such as:
* New starter inductions and internal transfers
* Payroll queries and escalations
* Sick pay administration and entitlement advice
* Long-term absence and income protection claims
* Benefits administration (including company car schemes)
Skills & Experience
Essential
* GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* High level of confidentiality and professionalism
* Strong relationship-building skills
Desirable
* CIPD qualification (or working towards)
* Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technical environments
* Experience with Workday or similar HR systems
