We're looking for an experienced User Experience Designer to join our Credit Cards design team in Chester (will also consider Manchester). This is a unique opportunity to define and enhance the journeys in which we engage and build relationships with our business customers, while supporting them with the right products, tools and services to meet their needs.
We're seeking someone who can work collaboratively alongside a full design team and take full ownership of their design output. They should be confident when presenting their work to stakeholders and able to adapt designs based on feedback from stakeholders, user research, and usability testing.
Role responsibilities include:
1. Crafting the end-to-end user experience, creating cohesive journeys step by step, and creatively using components from a central design system to balance content and UI elements.
2. Bringing designs to life using prototyping software such as Sketch, InVision, Figma, Axure, or Adobe XD.
3. Balancing business requirements with user needs by gathering user research and rationale to align stakeholders, and diplomatically pushing back when necessary.
4. Adapting to technical constraints across platforms while guiding on creating optimal user experiences.
5. Advocating for customer inclusion by designing accessible and inclusive products for a diverse customer base.
Candidate requirements include demonstrable experience in User Experience or Interaction Design, strong prototyping and layout skills, familiarity with design systems, and the ability to interpret research data to inform design. Experience in financial services and working within complex landscapes is preferred. The candidate should have a collaborative mindset and be able to see designs through to delivery, ensuring they meet specifications and are usable by diverse users.
