Job Description
In this role, you will contribute to the design of composite components and related tooling. Team members are encouraged to challenge norms and share ideas to foster an environment of shared success.
What You Will Be Doing
1. Develop layouts and schemes for composite assemblies, ensuring optimal design and functionality.
2. Create detailed CAD models and drawings of composite components.
3. Design CAD models and drawings of composite tooling.
4. Prepare manufacturing information for composite production, including materials, techniques, and quality standards.
5. Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure effective communication and implementation of design specifications.
6. Guide and supervise Graduate Designers, supporting their professional growth and ensuring high-quality output.
Requirements
* Previous experience in Formula 1 or top-tier motorsport is essential.
* Proven experience in composite design, including bodywork, wings, bumpers, and interior components within motorsport.
* A degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proficiency in CAD software, preferably CATIA 3DX, with a strong track record of accurate and efficient designs.
* Knowledge of composite materials, their properties, and manufacturing processes.
* Ability to plan, manage workloads, and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of working independently under pressure.
* Strong IT skills, including MS Office suite.
