Due to continued success, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly
motivated Senior Principal Electronics Engineer specialising in high-speed digital
design to join the R&D team.

Your Role:
As Senior Principal Electronics Engineer, you would be involved in the whole
lifecycle of product development from concept and prototype stages, through to
production and support.
As well as having demonstrable experience of leading and owning the design of
electronic systems, the right candidate will have:
• A strong background in electronics design from initial concept, specification through to software and systems integration, test, and manufacture.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills along with the ability to
mentor less experienced engineers.
• The ability to work in a small, focused team, sometimes against tight deadlines
• A conscientious, enthusiastic and reliable attitude, taking pride in their work
• The ability to be self-driven and motivated use their own initiative and take a technical lead as well as work to a high level of quality with good attention
to detail.
• A willingness to continually learn
Your Day to Day:
Our customer base includes many different industries and markets around the
world. Our complete TETRA and LTE solutions have been developed specifically
for users in multiple sectors to face their critical communications challenges.
There is no such thing as a typical day here at Sepura. You will be supported by
your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across
the business, activities you will be responsible for include:
• Requirements analysis and understanding including liaison with stakeholders
• Technical design and specification of digital and analogue circuitry for radio and accessory products
➢ Complete subsystem design and implementation, including subsystem
ownership.
➢ Integration with RF, Audio and MMI subsystems.
➢ Component specification and sourcing
➢ Design, integration and test documentation
➢ Definition, implementation and supervision of PCB layout rules and
constraints
• Resolution of design and integration issues
• Interaction with the SW team at device driver level (especially during bring-up phases)
• Type approval support
• Production technical support including sub system test strategy.
• Technical support to end customers
• Progress reporting to project team and line manager
• Support, lead and mentor members of the project team.
• Conducts requirements analysis to identify technical solutions and credible development estimates for significant product change.
• Lead technical recruitment interviews.
• Takes responsibility for the creation of functional and detailed design
documents for the components / modules / products under development.
• May line manage a small team.
What You Need to Succeed:
Essential - Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant field.
Essential - Experience and Skills
• Solid electronics design experience in a development environment.
• High speed digital design
• High speed digital design interfaces: USB3, MIPI, PCI express, Gigabit
ethernet, DDRX memory
• High Speed PCB layout and design constraints definition
• Experience designing for signal and power integrity.
• Experience with simulation tools (e.g. Hyperlynx, Sigrity, ADS, etc. for both
signal and power integrity)
• Design for EMC/ESD protection.
• Design for Manufacturing and Test
Nice to have: Experience and Skills
• Design work relating to radio products
• Experience interacting with SW teams at the device driver level.
