Location: Office attendance in Shefford is expected, but will typically be once per week
Contracting Authority: Government Client
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Clearance: Basic DBS
Key Requirements for Head of Revenues and Benefits
Significant experience in a Head of Revenues and Benefits role (Head of Service)
Experience of managing the annual end to end review of a Local Council Tax Support/Reduction scheme
Developing and managing staff through a period of significant change
Experience of dealing with elected Councillors, MPs & the Ombudsman
In depth working knowledge and experience of the relevant legislation
A proven track record of working at a senior level within a Revenues & Benefits Service
A real understanding of how to apply digital tools within services.
A strong communicator, negotiator and team player who’s outcome-focused, tenacious, and always thinking broadly.
