Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Sonographer based at University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
We have an exciting opportunity two trainee Sonographers to join our team. We have an exciting training opportunity in General Medical Ultrasound, once qualified you will be offered a permanent contract at B7. You will join our small friendly team to perform and report a range of ultrasound examinations. In support of our core purpose of Working together to achieve the healthiest life possible for everyone in Ayrshire and Arran we are committed to a culture that is Caring, Safe and Respectful. The post holder is required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way. The General Ultrasound service extends over several sites: University Hospital Crosshouse, Ayrshire Central Hospital, University Hospital Ayr and East Ayrshire Community Hospital offering care closer to patient’s homes.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
The applicant must hold a profession qualification and be registered with HCPC or professional equivalent and have relevant clinical experience. The applicant will be required to work flexible hours over a 7 day period (Monday to Sunday). The applicant would also be expected to take part in Public Holiday cover. A car/owner driver is essential as you will be expected to travel as required.
