My client are a SME sister company that is part of a highly reputable business in the Gloucestershire area that has an excellent reputation in the market. This position reports the full financials of that SME into the group.
Job Description
The key responsibilities within the role:
3. Ensure key financial reporting deadlines are met to the highest level of accuracy and reliability, be they weekly, monthly, quarterly, LE, plan or annual reports, with supporting analysis and commentary
4. Order and sales forecasting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis, working with MD and Project Directors to ensure accuracy
5. Monthly intercompany reconciliation, ensuring monthly statements issued
6. Provide annual business plan and quarterly reporting support through providing guidance and challenge to the MD; and assist in the preparation of the Divisional reports
7. Improve Margin, Overhead and Project costing accuracy, e.g., quotation funnel/trends
8. Support customer proposals to ensure finance margins are met
9. Prepare and submit accurate National Statistics returns in compliance with government regulations
10. Preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
11. Assist in the preparation of corporation tax computations,
12. Support the preparation of statutory financial statements, collaborating with auditors during year-end processes, and ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
13. Reconcile payroll to master file to ensure all overtime, birthday, pension, NI and PAYE are correct
14. Process payment to employees, reconcile the bank account
15. Process intercompany staff recharge invoices
The Successful Applicant
The successful person for this position will possess:
16. A full and recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
17. Experience of month-end reporting in an intercompany environment
18. Strong commercial skills and the ability to deliver accurate and timely financial forecasts
19. Strong attention to detail

This is a hybrid working position in Cheltenham and an immediate start is needed. This can be either a fixed term contract up to £60k (pro rata) or a day rate equivalent (inside IR35)
