An exceptional, independent sustainability and engineering consultancy is seeking an Energy Consultant to support the delivery of low:carbon building strategies across a diverse project portfolio. As an Energy Consultant, you will combine technical expertise with client:facing responsibility, providing clear and practical guidance that influences key design decisions and supports carbon reduction targets. The Role
You will work on new build and refurbishment projects, providing energy modelling, compliance, and performance advice to inform design decisions and decarbonisation strategies. The role blends hands:on technical delivery with client:facing consultancy, giving the Energy Consultant real influence across project outcomes.
What Youll Do
Develop energy and carbon strategies for buildings
Deliver modelling using IES VE and SAP
Undertake Part L, EPC, and overheating assessments (TM52, TM59, Part O)
Support daylight and natural ventilation studies
Translate technical outputs into clear advice for clients
Contribute to reports, proposals, and project meetings
What Theyre Looking For
Degree in engineering or a related discipline
Experience as an Energy Consultant or within energy or sustainability consultancy
Practical experience with IES VE and SAP
Strong understanding of HVAC and low:energy design
Confident communicator with strong analytical skills
