St John's RC Academy is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Pupil Support Teacher to join our Secondary Department.
\n
The teacher appointed will have a clear focus on supporting young people who are at risk of not attaining their potential. Therefore, the ideal candidate will be solution-focused, motivated, think outside the box, and will be dedicated to improving pupil outcomes.
\n
The role will involve working closely with other members of Pupil Support staff from curricular areas across the school, parents and partners to ensure the right interventions are in place to support identified young people.
\n
You will be expected to use your knowledge and skills to support young people to overcome barriers they are experiencing in accessing the curriculum.
\n
You must demonstrate the ability to motivate and engage young people and show that they have a commitment to supporting pupils. There will be an element of outreach work with our most vulnerable pupils and planning for this. We are also hoping to develop our outdoor education provision for our Pupil Support Department.

Set at the top of Perth’s North Inch and overlooking the River Tay, St John's RC Academy is at the heart of the North Inch Community Campus. Our 2-18 all-through school provides education for over 1100 children and young people from nursery to S6. The campus is a hub of opportunities for the local community, utilising state of the art sports and cultural facilities, offering a wide range of services for all ages.
