About us The Northern Lighthouse Board is the General Lighthouse Authority for Scotland and the Isle of Man, responsible for the superintendence and management of all lighthouses, buoys and beacons within those waters. Salary and Benefits · £35,141 per year rising to £47,643. Progression to top salary will be based on qualification and experience but envisaged to take a minimum of four years. · Hybrid Working & flexi time when working in the office · A Civil Service Pension with an average employer contribution of 28% · Annual Leave allowance of 25 days, rising by 1 day per year of service up to 30 days · 11.5 days for Public Holidays · Generous sick pay scheme and family leave policies. · Excellent training and development opportunities The Role – Overview You will join a small HR Team based in Edinburgh who are responsible for all HR policies, processes and guidance within the NLB. Initially you will take responsibility for the full Recruitment and Selection process, ensuring legal/policy/process compliance. You will then move on to oversee the implementation of the Sick Absence Policy and Occupational Health surveillance/referrals. You will work with employees and managers across the NLB providing a proactive, efficient and collaborative HR service. Other duties will involve reporting of HR Management information and attending and recording informal and formal HR meetings as required. You will be guided/mentored by the Senior HR Partner and HR Manager to enable you to progress your HR knowledge and career further. You will have a varied and interesting workload and at the same time be able to build excellent relationships with a large number of our employees. In addition, you will add real value to a safety critical organisation and support its mission, vision and values. Our ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and experience…. · Currently working within an HR environment.
