Salary: £33,366 - £34,314 FTE (Actual salary £29,259 - £30,090)
Join a high performing and collaborative team dedicated to supporting the educational provision at Kirkby Stephen Grammar School. We are seeking a dynamic and competent candidate to be responsible for the school's management information system, and for the organisation of data and production of data reports. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data with a drive to turn information into meaningful insights that will help us to drive student success. We are looking for an individual who is highly organised, ambitious and solution focused who will work closely with school leaders to ensure that all decisions are backed by powerful data.
What You'll Do
As our Data Manager, you will:
Lead the operation, accuracy and development of our Management Information System (SIMS).
Manage student and staff data, timetables, assessment information and reporting systems.
Produce high‑quality data reports and statutory returns.
Support colleagues across the school by ensuring data processes run smoothly, efficiently, and on time.
Work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and the Exams Officer to ensure seamless data flow throughout the academic year.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Strong data management and ICT skills, with excellent experience in Word and Excel.
Experience with SIMS or school data systems is desirable but not essential.
Experience of working in a data management capacity within education
Experience and knowledge of statutory data reporting requirements
A high level of accuracy, organisation and time‑management.
Great communication skills and confidence working with staff at all levels.
Experience and knowledge of producing a school timetable
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadline
