Owen Payne Recruitment are recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join one of our well established Steel manufacturing client based in Bilston .
This position will be a 12 week temporary to permanent role with a fantastic career growth.
Hours of work:
• Monday to Thursday 07:00-15:45
• Friday 07:00-13:00
Rate of Pay:
• £14.10 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting the transport office with day-to-day administrative tasks
• Handling incoming calls and emails relating to deliveries and logistics
• Maintaining accurate records of driver logs, delivery notes, and schedules
• Liaising with drivers, company departments, and customers to ensure smooth operations
• Data entry and updating internal systems (Excel & bespoke software)
• Logging costs onto spreadsheets
• Filing, document management, and general office duties
• Keeping correct stock levels and records.
• Order picking duties as and when required
Candidate Requirements:
• Previous admin experience in a transport or logistics environment is essential
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Able to prioritise tasks and work independently
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player
