Senior Quantity Surveyor – Highways / Asset Maintenance Permanent | Up to £60,000 Car / Car Allowance Benefits Cheshire / North West | Hybrid The Opportunity A leading national infrastructure and highways services provider is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major long-term highways asset maintenance contract. This is an urgent requirement and interviews will be held in December. You will play a pivotal role in closing out claims efficiently and providing expert commercial support across pre- and post-contract phases. Key Responsibilities * Lead commercial activities across the contract lifecycle, from pre-tender through project delivery. * Prepare accurate and timely commercial reports and advise senior management on key financial metrics. * Manage budgets, cost forecasting, risk registers and change control processes. * Oversee contract administration, supply chain procurement and subcontract management. * Negotiate and finalise claims, compensation events and final accounts. * Provide guidance and support to junior Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members. About You * Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a Quantity Surveying role. * Strong background in Highways or Asset Maintenance contracts. * Proven track record in closing out claims promptly. * Good working knowledge of NEC forms of contract. * Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) and ideally working towards professional membership (RICS, CIOB, ICES). * Able to start within 1 month and live a commutable distance from the Cheshire office.
