For our Finance (Accounting Transactions) team, we are looking for an Asset Accountant

This role reports into the Manager, Asset Accounting in our Global Accounting Operations Teams which is part of the Asset Accounting Team and performs fixed asset accounting processes, project capitalisation, capital work and global reconciliation across multiple systems, generates and distributes fixed asset reporting.
Job Purpose
1. To execute fixed asset accounting processes in line with policies and procedures
2. Review asset depreciation calculation for all fixed assets
3. Process asset impairment and retirements, and seek necessary approvals (e.g., retirement obligations)
4. Creation of assets in the SAP system
5. Perform asset transfers
6. Perform project capitalizations
7. Perform detailed capital work and global reconciliation across multiple systems, including Clarity
8. Generate and distribute routine fixed asset reporting
9. Update budget limits on projects
10. Support the month end close for multiple entities in entity specific processes
11. Assist in budget and forecast tasks
12. Assist in fixed asset cycle counts Create projects within SAP
13. Provide data for ad hoc requests
Your Skills and Experience
14. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree in related field required
15. 5+ years’ experience in accounting and finance.
16. Experience in global scientific/pharmaceutical industry highly desirable
17. Sound interpersonal skills and some ability to influence with effective priority setting
18. Extraordinarily strong analytical thinking and organizational agility along with attention to detail
19. The position also requires the ability to build and maintain sound relationships and collaborate effectively with multiple levels and cross functionally with Finance Business Partners and various Finance Centres of Excellence.
