Role Summary: We are looking for an individual to provide direction, governance and innovation in fundraising activities. To optimise voluntary income generation by identifying opportunities for growth in existing and new income streams. Support the development of relationships with funding bodies, statutory and non-statutory. Engage and liaise with operational teams to ensure that innovation and clinical excellence is demonstrated in all that we do. You will have an integral role in the development and submission of funding applications to successfully grow and demonstrate the impact of our services in new project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and cultivate new income-generating opportunities to support organisational growth.
Lead the development and expansion of social enterprise initiatives.
Build, nurture, and manage strategic partnerships with businesses, funders, and other stakeholders.
Support the preparation and submission of grant applications and sponsorship proposals.
Conduct market research and feasibility studies to inform business development strategies.
New Initiatives
Successfully develop and launch income-generating initiatives (e.g., a pilot project, consultancy offer, or social enterprise concept). Research funding opportunities and write, submit, and manage grant proposals and funding applications
Partnership Development
Initiate and build at strategic partnerships with corporate, academic, and community stakeholders that align with Kaleidoscope's mission.
Strengthen and expand existing relationships to support shared objectives and unlock new opportunities for collaboration or co-production.
Internal Capacity and Strategy
Alongside the Head of Business Development: evidence achievements in line with our Income Generation & Business Development Strategy (including priorities, timelines, and targets) to the Executive Team and Trustee Board. Work with operational teams to co-design project proposals, ensuring alignment with lived experience and local needs.
Deliver internal briefings/workshops to help staff understand the role of income generation/business development and identify opportunities for collaboration.
Organisational Sustainability
Contribute to the charity's long-term financial sustainability by actively diversifying income streams, reducing dependency on core commissioned contracts.
Support the Executive Team and Finance and Business Planning Board subgroup by providing quarterly performance updates and insights on funding trends, partnership prospects, and new opportunities.
