Amazon is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist/Analyst for the Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) team.
AGL is dedicated to building and operating a global logistics network that enables worldwide selection and delivery of customer orders in a cost-effective manner. The EU-based Amazon Global Logistics team manages international transportation of inbound shipments for Sellers, working closely with global teams to improve carrier strategies, develop capabilities, and expand services.
The team collaborates with the local Transportation and Operations teams to leverage existing agreements and assets, aiming to enhance our product offerings and extend our reach globally. The AGL teams in India, US, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Brazil, and China support these efforts by linking origin capabilities with destination needs to optimize transportation costs and improve delivery metrics.
The Logistics Specialist/Analyst facilitates information flow among stakeholders (Logistics Service Providers, Sellers, Customs, Product Managers, Supply Chain) and resolves issues affecting Seller Experience and delivery performance. The role involves researching internal tools, making real-time decisions, and communicating effectively via phone or email.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Conducting detailed performance analyses using internal and external data sources.
2. Resolving data integrity issues systematically and following through on solutions.
3. Understanding business impacts of trends and making data-driven decisions.
4. Prioritizing and delivering timely updates on key metrics.
5. Visualizing data graphically for easy interpretation across teams.
6. Developing automation solutions for reports, tools, and processes.
7. Implementing operational improvements through root cause analysis and solution design.
8. Communicating regularly with external customers (Carriers, Vendors) and internal teams (FBA, Finance, Support, Fulfillment Centers).
9. Managing activities within various time constraints to meet critical business needs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
* Operational experience with process understanding, improvement identification, and change implementation.
* Fluent in English (written and verbal).
* Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Mathematics, or similar.
* Experience in Performance Management.
* Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
* Project management experience.
* Skills in SQL, ETL, Data Warehouse solutions, and visualization tools like Tableau.
