The Role:
This role forms part of the Commercial Team who support our corporate outcomes and provide support to the wider business including leading on all procurement, commercial, supplier and contract management activities, and coordination of overall supplier relationships.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting a key strategic RFP to select appropriate suppliers and negotiating the contract for a significant outsourced service.
What you will do:
1. Lead the RFP activity, working with input from a virtual multi-functional team.
2. Manage all phases of the RFP and be the commercial lead for supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting phases.
3. Engage and brief key stakeholders throughout the progress of the RFP.
4. Minimise commercial risks including those arising from transition to the selected supplier services.
5. Produce all commercial deliverables, as necessary e.g., negotiation plan, contract risk analysis, benefits analysis and contract creation and closure.
6. Lead tender activities using established commercial processes.
7. Draft, negotiate and award supplier contracts with support from Legal.
8. Implement and manage change control process for key contracts.
9. Ensure contractual governance / approval mechanisms are applied.
10. Provide briefings and present recommendations to key stakeholders.
11. Be self-driven and able to work with minimal management supervision in a dynamic and challenging environment with tight timelines.
What we are looking for:
1. Previous experience of leading RFPs for key outsourced services.
2. Negotiating complex framework contracts.
3. Good understanding of contract law.
Nice to have:
MCIPS, LLB or other relevant professional qualifications.
