We seek a motivated and organized individual to join as Project Officer (BUCS and Club Development). This student-facing role involves leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of the University’s Club Sport Represent programme, supporting competitive sport opportunities for students.
Main duties and responsibilities
You will manage engagement with BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport), oversee weekly fixture logistics, support non-BUCS sports clubs and student committees, and contribute to events and initiatives.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with students, volunteers, and external partners to deliver a high-quality sports experience and foster a thriving student sport culture.
Skills and Experience
You should believe in service excellence and continuous improvement, have a passion for promoting active lifestyles, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be professional, approachable, proactive, well-organized, and able to work under pressure both independently and in a team.
Experience in coordinating sports programs or events, leading others, and understanding sports development and student sport is essential. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, are required.
Qualifications required
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, or relevant demonstrable experience.
