Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) | CarlislePremium Contract | £46 Per Hour
Are you an experienced Social Work professional looking for a high-yield, stable contract? We are currently seeking a dedicated Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team in Carlisle for a premium long-term engagement.

The Opportunity
* Pay Rate: £46.00 per hour
* Location: Carlisle
* Contract Length: 6-12 months (Long-term stability)
* Primary Focus: Child Protection (CP) & Cared For Children
Key Responsibilities
* Chairing statutory reviews for children looked after and monitoring the performance of the local authority's function as a corporate parent.
* Ensuring that Care Plans are comprehensive, effective, and prioritize the safety and well-being of the child.
* Providing independent oversight and challenge to ensure Child Protection plans are progressed without delay.
* Liaising with social workers, managers, and external partners to drive high standards of practice.
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered).
* Significant post-qualifying experience in Child Protection or Looked After Children services.
* Previous experience as an IRO or in a senior management/oversight capacity is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to provide constructive challenge.
