The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Responsible Individual to oversee and ensure the effective operation of our children's home in Kent. The Responsible Individual will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, driving high-quality care standards, and supporting the Registered Manager in delivering exceptional outcomes for children. The Responsible Individual will be responsible for maintaining accountability at the highest level and ensuring that all statutory requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the home operates in compliance with Ofsted regulations and statutory requirements.
* Provide strategic leadership and oversight to maintain high standards of care and safeguarding.
* Support, mentor, and supervise the Registered Manager and staff team.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices in line with current legislation.
* Conduct regular audits, quality assurance checks, and monitoring visits to ensure service excellence.
* Act as a key liaison with external agencies, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
* Ensure all safeguarding concerns are addressed in accordance with child protection policies.
* Contribute to staff recruitment, retention, and professional development.
* The Responsible Individual will take part in decision-making processes to enhance the homes performance and ensure compliance.
Requirements:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent) essential.
* Extensive experience in residential childcare, including leadership and management roles.
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection policies.
* Proven track record of managing compliance, quality assurance, and service improvement.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies.
* A full UK driving licence is desirable.
