To assist and support the sexual health team.
To assist doctors and nurses to facilitate the care of patients attending the Sexual Health Service to include Integrated Sexual Health, Health Advisory, Pregnancy Advisory Service and HIV teams.
To promote patients dignity and comfort at all times.
To support the health advising team with Results Management for notifying patients of negative results, and non-complex follow up for patients through the recall system.
To provide a high standard of care to patients attending the Sexual Health Service.
To work as a team member, ensuring the smooth running and efficiency of Gloucestershires Sexual Health Service.
To provide input into the rota for the sexual health service alongside the nursing and administrative teams.
As a Health Care Assistant/ Support Worker you willbe responsible forparticipatingandassistingin the delivery of care / services to patients and service users as part of a Mental Health and Social Care Health Service.
Health Care Assistant, Social Care Workers and other Healthcare Support Workers employed by the Trust are required to follow the guidance set out in Code of Conduct for Health Care Assistants/ Health Care Support Workers to provide safe and compassionate care of a high standard, and to challenge others who are not.
You will receive direct supervision and partake in reflective practice / training on a regular basis and berequiredto meet the Care Certificate standards.
All successful applicants will alsohave the opportunity todiscuss the prospect of undertaking a Level 3 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship alongside their substantive post.
This apprenticeship would include the Level 3 Diploma in Clinical Healthcare.
The Trustis required towork in line with the Governments UK Visa and Immigration Rules and Regulations.
