As part of CRH Infrastructure Products, Hydro International plays a leading role in water management, protecting people, places and the planet from flooding, pollution and water scarcity.We are now looking for an experienced Welder to join our Production team at our Eastington site. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our manufacturing operation, supporting the production of high-quality stainless-steel products that make a real difference to water and wastewater infrastructure across the UK and beyond.The Role Reporting to the Production Manager, youll play a key role in delivering safe, accurate and timely fabrication work.
Using your welding expertise, youll help maintain product quality, operational performance and overall site efficiency, contributing directly to business profitability and customer satisfaction.What Youll Be Doing As a Welder, your responsibilities will include:Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and welding specificationsSetting up, preparing and operating TIG welding equipmentWelding and fabricating stainless steel components to a high standardAssembling metal structures and components to exact design requirementsInspecting welded joints to ensure quality, strength and complianceIdentifying welding defects and carrying out repairs or adjustmentsMaintaining accurate records of work completed and materials usedSetting up, maintaining and reporting faults on welding tools and equipmentKeeping work areas clean, organised and compliant with health & safety standardsFollowing all site HSE procedures and wearing appropriate PPE at all timesSafely handling gases, tools, materials and hazardous substancesWorking collaboratively with fabricators, engineers and supervisors to meet deadlinesActively participating in safety briefings, toolbox talks and risk assessmentsReporting hazards, near misses or incidents promptlyAbout You Youll ideally bring:Proven experience in TIG welding, particularly with stainless steelAbility to confidently read and work from engineering drawingsStrong attention to detail and commitment to high quality standardsAwareness of welding codes, quality systems and safe manufacturing practicesA proactive, team-focused attitude with good communication skillsA strong safety mindset and willingness to follow site HSE proceduresPrevious experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is essential.What We Offer Full training and structured developmentOvertime opportunitiesPension schemeLife assuranceSick payLunch allowanceEmployee Referral SchemeMental Health First Aiders25 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysLong-term career progression within a global organisationWere proud to be part of CRH, and even prouder to be an equal opportunity employer.
