With a rich history of excellence in designing, constructing, and maintaining buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide, we are now offering an exciting opportunity for an Operations & Bid Manager within our Energy Solutions business.Role overviewThe Operations & Bid Manager will deliver with the assistance of the operations team, high quality projects with a collaborative approach with the client, and be responsible for all projects to be, on time, on budget and delivered with an exceptional H&S record.Key activitiesBid Management:Lead and coordinate the full tender process for key accounts — from early opportunity identification through internal governance reviews and the submission of both non‑binding and binding offers.Work closely with internal teams (Design/Engineering, Procurement, Cost Estimation, Construction) to ensure designs that meet technical requirements, maximise constructability and operability, and remain commercially sound.Contribute to the development of the 5‑year business development budget and monitor performance against targets.Maintain accurate Salesforce updates (Equans’ CRM) and ensure the opportunity pipeline reflects the latest position, to inform the budget of the Finance team.Coordinate with Legal, Commercial, Cost Estimation and O&M teams to consolidate Equans’ contractual positions for EPC and O&M agreements.Project Management:Leading the team of Senior project managers, project managers and site based staff on multiple projects (10+ at range of £5 -£40m value each).Maintaining & building the team to deliver a growing number of projects in energy solutions.Create and execute project delivery plans / programmes with assistance of planner and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.Manage construction with responsibility for Health & Safety compliance at all levels.Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the projects.Manage the costs in line within the agreed budget, seeking to ensure that operational efficiencies are attained where possible.Skills, qualifications & experienceRelevant engineering or construction related qualificationTechnical operations experience in the renewable energy industry, ideally in Solar PV & BESS, Hydrogen and Heat networks.Strong commitment to health and safety, and knowledge of H&S legislation as applicable to construction projects.Strong and organised leader with exemplary verbal and written communication and presentation skillsWhat can we offer you?On offer is a competitive salary, car or car allowance and benefits package, which includes;25 days annual leave (+ public holidays)Life Cover equivalent to 3 times annual salary10% BonusCompany sharesCompany car or car allowancePrivate healthEmployee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailersGym membership discountsCycle to work schemeHoliday purchase scheme2 corporate social responsibility days per yearBroad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalized support programmesAttractive Employee Referral Rewards SchemeAccess to our growing employee networks including WiE (Women in EQUANS), RISE (BAME), LGBTQI+, Working Parents, YPN (Young Persons Network) and our Disability Network24/7 Employee Assistance Program and access to mental wellbeing appWho are we?EQUANS is a world leader in energy services with nearly 100,000 employees working in more than 50 countries, with an annual turnover of over 17 billion euros.In the UK & Ireland, EQUANS is a provider of technical, FM, regeneration and energy services – with specialist capabilities in smart buildings, green mobility, district & embedded energy and decentralised renewables.EQUANS’ 13,500 UK & Ireland employees combine these activities to help businesses, public sector organisations and government to embrace the energy transition towards net zero, and also the digital & industrial transitions that are redesigning the way we move, work and live.EQUANS is a Bouygues group company.What’s next?If this role is of interest to you, please click below to register, apply, and track your progress!
