About the Team: We are doing great work here and need great people to join us to continue to improve the lives of local children and their families. We are looking to recruit experienced and passionate social workers to undertake the role of Peripatetic Social Worker in our Family Connect service.
Family Connect is the point for all referrals where members of the community and professionals refer children and young people living in Warwickshire where they are worried about their safety and welfare. This is an office-based post, although following induction, there is potential for some work from home, with no face-to-face work with children and families.

About the Service and Role: We launched Family Connect, formally Warwickshire's Children and Families Front Door, which aims to build on the strengths of families and communities, ensuring the right support is given at the right time. Family Connect provides information, advice, and guidance to professionals and implements a telephone referral process alongside consultations informed through Coaching Conversations with callers who have concerns for the safety and/or wellbeing of children in the Warwickshire area.
Key Requirements: Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration. We welcome applications from committed Social Workers who are ready to embrace a dynamic, mobile role that makes a real difference across Warwickshire.
Key qualities we’re looking for:
* A strong ability to make robust and accurate decisions informed by our Spectrum of Support to ensure children and families are safe, with a deep understanding of risk and risk management.
* Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to engage with families as the first point of contact from children’s services.
* A calm, approachable manner that instils confidence in those who contact Family Connect.
