We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Hire Desk Manager to join an award winning and innovative hire business at their HQ in Oldham. You’ll oversee the daily operations of our hire desk, ensuring smooth coordination between clients, sales, and operations. You’ll lead a dedicated team, manage customer enquiries, and ensure hire requests are handled efficiently from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: · Lead, support, and motivate the hire desk team to deliver excellent service. · Manage and resolve customer enquiries promptly and professionally. · Oversee hire requests, ensuring accuracy in bookings and delivery schedules. · Coordinate with operations and logistics for timely delivery, collection, and maintenance. · Work with the sales team to maximise rental opportunities. · Maintain accurate records of contracts, equipment availability, and correspondence. · Drive continuous improvements in desk processes and customer experience. · Provide training and development for team members. What We’re Looking For: · Experience in a hire desk or customer service role, ideally within equipment rental or construction. · Strong leadership and team management skills. · Excellent communication and customer service abilities. · Good knowledge of logistics and hire processes. · Organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities. · Proficiency in hire desk software (knowledge of H&S regulations is an advantage).
