PMLD Teaching Assistant
Location: DY5 Area
Salary: £427.20 - £500.00 per week
Hours: Full Time
Start Date: As soon as possible
We are recruiting an experienced PMLD Teaching Assistant to work full-time within a specialist educational setting supporting pupils from EYFS through to Post-16. The school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment for children and young people with complex learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and additional needs.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils with PMLD throughout the school day.
* Assist with personal care, feeding, and mobility where required.
* Support learning activities both in and out of the classroom.
* Promote independence, communication, and wellbeing.
* Work closely with teachers and other professionals to meet pupils' individual needs.
* Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience supporting children or young people with PMLD.
* Experience providing personal care.
* Ability to provide references from your most recent school setting or agency.
* Enhanced DBS on the Adult and Child Workforce, or willingness to obtain one.
* A caring, patient, and reliable approach.
