We are seeking
an ambitious and highly motivated Research Associate to work in a programme of research that aims to investigate extracellular vesicle biogenesis and biomarkers in Parkinson’s disease. The study will involve analysis of blood biosamples from patient cohorts to validate biomarkers and the use of iPSC-based models to identify novel markers of pathology. As such, the post will offer an excellent opportunity for mechanistic and translational research using state-of-the-art models and facilities available at the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery and Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford. The post-holder will work alongside a multidisciplinary team in the Molecular Neurodegeneration Research Group including clinicians and basic scientists. For further, please details check the lab website at: The successful candidate will hold a DPhil/PhD/MD (or be near completion) or equivalent, have a proven track record in biochemical assays and imaging, and have the ability to work collaboratively within a team. It would be desirable if you had previous experience in molecular biology or cell culture techniques and in models of Neurodegeneration. The post is full time, fixed term until 3rd May 2027, with the possibility of extension.
