Job Title: Self-Employed Premium Vehicle Delivery Driver
Job Overview:
As a Self-Employed Trade Plate Driver, you will be responsible for delivering high-end, luxury, and performance vehicles to clients, dealerships, and other designated locations. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that the vehicles are transported in pristine condition while providing a professional and courteous service. As a self-employed contractor, you will manage your schedule and route planning, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Vehicle Transportation: Safely deliver vehicles to clients, dealerships, or other designated locations across local, regional, or national routes.
* Inspection & Documentation: Inspect vehicles before pick-up and after delivery to document any pre-existing damage or issues. Ensure accurate documentation for every delivery.
* Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients, dealerships, and other stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction throughout the delivery process.
* Route Planning: Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while accounting for traffic, weather, and other road conditions.
* Vehicle Handling: Handle vehicles with care, ensuring no damage occurs during transport. Operate vehicles in a safe manner and follow all traffic laws and regulations.
* Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and your base to update on delivery status, estimated arrival times, and any potential delays.
* Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure your delivery vehicle is well-maintained and in excellent working condition to facilitate safe and efficient deliveries.
* Record Keeping: Maintain and submit all relevant delivery logs, contracts, and invoices in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
* Valid Driver's License: Must hold a valid, clean driving license with a proven track record of safe driving.
* Experience: Prior experience in vehicle transportation or delivery (preferred).
* Self-Motivated: Ability to manage your own schedule, maintain punctuality, and stay organised as an independent contractor.
* Customer-Focused: Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and dealerships.
* Vehicle Handling Skills: Proficiency in handling a range of vehicle types, especially high-end cars, and knowledge of the appropriate safety measures during transit.
Equipment/Tools Required:
* GPS Navigation: Proficiency with GPS systems or route planning software to optimise travel times.
* Mobile Phone: A mobile phone for communication and route tracking.
Compensation:
* As a self-employed individual, compensation will be per delivery, with rates based on the distance, vehicle type, and specific job requirements.
* Payment Terms: Rates and payment structures will be discussed on a per-client basis, and payments are typically received after the delivery is completed.
