Technical Sales Lead Opportunity!
Office-based
Full-time, Permanent (40 hours/week)

We are working with an established business within the wastewater industry to recruit a Technical Sales Lead. This is a great opportunity for a technically minded professional with strong customer-facing experience to take ownership of technical sales support, key accounts, and solution development across a specialist product range.

The role

This position sits at the intersection of technical expertise and commercial delivery. You will work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure solutions are technically sound, accurately costed, and aligned with customer requirements. You will also act as a key point of contact for service and maintenance customers, ensuring a high level of ongoing support and account management.

The role also includes input into product development, customer engagement, and sales support activities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and responsibility.

Key responsibilities

* Deliver technical presentations to customers, both face-to-face and virtually

* Provide technical guidance to support accurate quotation preparation and solution design

* Work with engineers and customers to assess system requirements and product suitability

* Act as a key account contact for service contract customers, ensuring strong ongoing relationships

* Coordinate and compile customer reports, KPIs, and technical updates

* Liaise with internal teams to resolve customer queries and service issues

* Support sales activity including negotiation of contract terms where required

* Assist with enquiry management and allocation of incoming technical requests

* Contribute to product development discussions and recommend improvements

* Support marketing activity by providing technical input for customer communications and case studies

About you

Essential:

* Strong technical understanding of wastewater or water-related systems

* Experience with potable water booster sets and/or small domestic wastewater treatment systems

* Proven background in a technical sales, applications, or customer support role

* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly

* Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

* Confident working with both internal teams and external customers

Desirable:

* Experience within the wastewater industry or related water engineering sector

* Previous exposure to service contracts or account management responsibilities

* Commercial awareness with an understanding of quoting, costing, and sales processes
