Overview
A registered children's nurse with experience and enthusiasm to join the Nottingham Children\'s Orthopaedic team to assist with orthopaedic pre-assessment clinics. You will work closely with children, parents, anaesthetists, surgeons and multi-disciplinary colleagues to ensure every child is fully assessed, supported and ready for their surgical journey. You will be hospital based, with responsibility to see children in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will be a clinical and professional role model with a passion for delivering high-quality clinical care and supporting the development of others. You will be an effective team player, able to plan and organise your own workload, with excellent communication skills and the ability to teach families and health professionals. You will be part of a dynamic multi-professional team, with opportunities to develop your career as a nurse specialist within orthopaedics. You will conduct thorough nursing pre-assessments for children scheduled for orthopaedic procedures and provide education and reassurance to children, young people and their families about upcoming procedures.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough nursing pre-assessments for children scheduled for orthopaedic procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications and Skills
* Registered Children's Nurse (or equivalent) with current registration and valid practice requirements.
* Experience in paediatric nursing and pre-assessment clinics is desirable.
* Strong communication and teaching skills for families and health professionals.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.
* Commitment to high standards of patient care and patient/family education.
