Senior Product Owner | Payments | 1 year Contract
An innovative payments business is recruiting a Senior Product Owner for a one-year maternity cover contract.
The company is changing the way we move money around the world, via integration with a single API, institutions, PSP’s and Banks can settle FX instantly in any country.
They are a cross-border connectivity payment platform that enables rapid, cost-effective transfers between financial institutions, providing worldwide coverage through a single API integration.
Supported by Microsoft Azure infrastructure, our software and messaging network enables participants – such as banks, payment service providers and money transfer operators – to access a global network of account providers, communicate peer-to-peer (P2P), exchange FX quotes, and send real-time (T+0) international payments. Acting as a messaging and orchestration layer, the business enables instantaneous settlement between participating financial institutions, creating seamless interoperability across borders and currencies.
The Role
We are recruiting an experienced Product Owner to help the business revolutionise the cross-border payments space. You will be working with several engineering teams, business functions and customers to design, build and bring to market new product services, in addition to enhancing existing product services.
About you
You will be responsible for the design and delivery of new product services, in addition to enhancing existing product services. You should be skilled in working and defining end-to-end customer journeys, able to convert these into product solutions, and have outstanding communication skills.
You will be supporting the sales and integration process, articulating the product’s capabilities and the roadmap to customers, as well as gathering their feedback and incorporating it appropriately into future product iterations and features.
Key responsibilities
* Define and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that stories are clearly written, prioritized, and aligned with strategic goals.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
* Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team.
* Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
* Analyze product performance metrics and customer feedback to inform future iterations.
* Communicate progress, blockers, and insights regularly to leadership and stakeholders.
* Maintain internal and external product documentation.
* Lead product demos and explanations of the platform and product functionality on customer calls.
* Assist in customer integrations as the point of contact from the product team.
