Account Executive (Founding Hire)
Location: Nottingham (some travel to London & to see clients F2F required)
Salary: £35k - £45k DOE + strong commission tied to closed ARR
This is ideal for a SaaS Account Executive who wants more ownership, more influence, and more upside than a typical corporate sales role.
Our client, Imagine AI, is building what recruitment businesses have wanted for years but never had: a unified AI platform that replaces legacy CRMs and removes the admin that kills productivity.
Designed by a successful founder with over 15 years of recruitment experience, this isn't "another AI feature." It's a platform shift.
They're now hiring an Account Executive (Founding Hire) to take ownership of their day-to-day sales engine- generating pipeline, running discovery, delivering outcome-led demos, and closing ARR.
This is a high-ownership role, with clear targets & upside based on outcomes, in a fast-moving early-stage company. You'll work directly with the founder and have real influence over how Imagine AI scales commercially.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Pipeline & Revenue Ownership
Generate your own pipeline through outbound, LinkedIn, referrals, events and smart prospecting
Own a clear monthly ARR target
Manage opportunities end-to-end from first contact to signed agreement
Maintain clean CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting
Discovery & Deal Control
Run structured discovery with recruitment agency owners and leadership teams
Identify real pain, urgency, decision process, and buying triggers
Navigate multi-stakeholder deals confidently
Demos & Storytelling
Deliver tailored, outcome-led demos focused on ROI (not feature tours)
Adapt messaging by persona (owner, sales leader, operations, recruiters)
Handle objections and move deals forward with clear next steps
Closing & Commercial Negotiation
Build proposals that quantify ROI and make switching feel low-risk
Negotiate within agreed guardrails
Close cleanly and coordinate handover into onboarding
Feedback & Iteration
Capture market insight, competitor positioning, and lost-deal reasons
Help refine messaging, demo flow, and sales playbooks as we scale
What we're looking for
2–5 years' experience in B2B sales (SaaS preferred)
Comfortable running full-cycle sales (discovery to close)
Experience selling to senior decision-makers (owners, MDs, CEOs)
Confident self-generating pipeline
Strong written follow-up and proposal skills
Organised, disciplined, and accountable to numbers
Comfortable operating with autonomy in an early-stage environment
Nice to have:
Recruitment / HR tech / ATS / CRM experience
Exposure to ROI-based or value-based selling
