The Role: The Women’s Game Executive will work with the Women’s Game team and across the organisation at all levels, supporting and guiding them in the delivery of the RFU’s strategic objectives, with a focus on Every Rose, the action plan for Women and Girls rugby in England. Along with providing efficient and effective administrative and operational management, they will be engaged in a range of projects and work streams, ensuring deadlines are met and strong communication flows with internal and external stakeholders are initiated and sustained. Some key responsibilities include: Initiate and deliver projects that support the successful delivery of the Every Rose action plan. Work collaboratively with senior leaders in receiving, processing and preparing reports and presentations for RFU Board, Council and Steering Group meetings. Influence and manage key stakeholder groups; including, former international players, the Red Roses and their friends and family. Manage the annual Women’s Game budget, providing key updates and reporting information to the Senior Strategy Manager and Executive Director of Women’s Game. Lead on the delivery of all Women’s Game events at Red Roses matches, including stakeholder management. Represent the Women’s Game at key meetings internally and externally, including supporting with preparation and outputs. Make recommendations, co-ordinate and monitor interactions with key external strategic partners, women’s sports groups and key women’s game stakeholders, pro-actively organising contact and promoting the objectives of Every Rose. Working with the Senior Strategy Manager, provide recommendations on opportunities and risks within the Women and Girls’ business model and the Every Rose action plan. Actively collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of the current strategic, business and operational plans. Act as an ambassador for, and promote the best interests of the RFU, including the promotion of our culture and core values – This Rose Means Everyone: Put The Team First, Shape The Future, Respect Each Other. Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the organisation. Qualifications, Skills & Experience: The skills and attributes outlined in this description are not exhaustive and we welcome candidates who can bring different relevant experiences to the role. Essential: Good understanding of the workings and governance systems within the RFU. Knowledge and understanding of the delivery structures within the sport – including staff, Constituent Bodies and professional and grassroots clubs. Strong stakeholder and relationship management. Strong project planning experience and ability to manage effectively within scope, timelines, budget and quality. Influencing, consensus building, and sustaining relationships, with the ability to work collaboratively. Ability to work on several projects at once, prioritise and communicate priorities. Experience of working collaboratively with senior staff members. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Smartsheets.
