The opportunity Our Commercial Property team, part of the wider IS&M business unit is made up of five busy fee earners based in Leicester as part of the wider East Midlands group dealing with a wide range of work, from the sale and purchase of land for development projects such as care homes and student accommodation; sales and purchase of leisure establishments, leases of offices, warehouses and retail units and providing property related corporate support.
The team has gone from strength to strength and due to continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious individual to join us at paralegal level.
What you will be doing:
* providing paralegal support to the team
* liaising with clients, and handling queries and enquiries where appropriate
* being responsible for and conducting various aspects of transactions
* drafting and producing forms and transactional documentation and conducting some transactions from start to finish, with support from other team members
* working with other team members on larger projects
What you will need:
* 6 months’ previous experience in a legal property team would be preferrable
* experience of using Land Registry, HMRC, search provider, Companies House and indemnity insurance web sites and ability to draft basic forms and some documents
* working knowledge at basic level of terminology and documents used in property transactions
