Purpose of Role
You will be responsible for the effective management of Purchasing, Transport, Depots & H&S. You will take the lead in proactively providing and successfully delivering solutions, flows and processes across all departments. You will be responsible for supervising the distribution depots within the allocated budget and managing the company’s utilities budget. You will apply best practice to improve efficiency by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity. You will represent the company’s ethos and ethics by ensuring all customers and staff receive outstanding, award winning service.
Key Responsibilities
* To successfully work across the business to support all aspects of Operational service delivery.
* To produce clear and concise project plans.
* To produce and manage annual operating budgets.
* To support the development of the five-year capital investment plan.
* To attend daily and weekly venue operations meetings to ensure all works are clearly communicated across the team.
* To manage the H&S utilising effective coaching and line management skills; completing annual and mid-year performance reviews along with monthly documented one to one meetings.
* To be involved with periodic audit compliance across the business.
* To work with all departments of the business on producing & maintaining processes and procedures.
* To be on call as part of the emergency call out procedure
* To deal with any requests from your line manager
* Have a team spirit and lead by example
* Comply with existing Company processes and engage in a continuous improvement manner.
H&S
* To be the main point of contact for all event Health and Safety requirements.
* To advise the company what is required to ensure the business remains compliant with current and proposed Health & Safety legislation and Disability Discrimination Legislation.
* To update the Health & Safety Policy annually.
* To take a take a leading role in ensuring statutory compliance and undertake monthly reporting as necessary.
* To Prevent any unsafe or hazardous event, activity or where no or inadequate written Risk Assessment has been provided.
* To collate all Accident & Near Miss Reports. Ensure that they are correctly investigated and escalated, that suitable and sufficient remedial action is taken and all actions are reported to a Director.
* Prepare reports and briefs for the annual ISO inspections.
Security
* To manage aspects of Security at the company Depots & Head Office, to report any breaches along with long and short term solutions to ensure the safety of all staff is maintained at all times.
* To Ensure that a 24/7 intruder alarm is maintained.
Qualifications/Expertise
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Accuracy and attention to details.
* Good, clear communication skills, both written and verbal
* Have a can do, problem solving attitude and ability to work fast paced in a high-pressure environment
* Competent telephone skills
* High level of Commitment and determined approach to outbound calling
* Quick and efficient working style with positive approach
* Excellent ability to complete regular tasks on your own
