Bring your skills to the mix as a Chief Civil Maritime Engineer, you'll play a vital role in every aspect of maritime engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
We specialise in all aspects of maritime engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and Cities & Development. We continue to provide industry-leading maritime solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases. We currently have opportunities in our Epsom, Peterborough, Bristol, and Glasgow offices.
Your Purpose
1. Own and direct teams who undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
2. Define briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
3. Manage time and budgets successfully to meet project milestones and programmes.
4. Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
5. Set quality assurance standards in design.
6. Grow, develop, and manage civil engineering capability within the practice.
What you can bring
* Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer.
* Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design within the port and maritime environment.
* Comprehensive knowledge in the civil and structural design of port and maritime infrastructure supporting port operations, berthing, mooring of vessels, and transit of people and goods globally.
* Experience with current UK and European design standards including BS6349.
