We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Business Support Officer. The post is a 37hr maternity leave cover post for up to one year, supporting the Adult and Community Learning Service.
Although in Nuneaton, you should be willing to work at other sites when necessary. This would include Pound Lane, our base in Leamington and exam venues. There may be the opportunity to work from home during non-term-time periods.
Adult and Community Learning offer courses for adults and families across Warwickshire. Whether learners wish to develop skills for employment or everyday life, support children's education, pursue an interest, gain confidence or just to meet new people in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the Business Support team are there to help learners in every stage of their journey with ACL, from initial enquiry and enrolment to administering exams, as well as manage the ACL Service's administration requirements.

As a Senior Business Support Officer, you will play an essential part in developing the team into a high performing function that is valued by staff and stakeholders. Working closely with the Team Lead and another Senior Business Support Officer, you will need to be able to prioritise work to ensure you and the team deliver the right activities in the most efficient way possible.
One of the main responsibilities will be taking on the Data Officer role for the service. You will be liaising with service staff to obtain the data, and then ensure all learner enrolments, outcomes and qualifications are recorded on the Service's Learner Management Information System, ProSolution.
In this important role you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy and completeness of service data (ILR) returns and related DfE funding claims. You will work closely with SLT who will give training and advice on up-to-date funding rules, regulatory changes and guidelines.
We appreciate that few people will have direct experience of this type of work, therefore we are inviting applications from people who have strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and databases. This, alongside experience of working accurately with large datasets under tight deadlines, demonstrating attention to detail and problem-solving ability would be an advantage.
