Working on behalf of our client based in Wrexham. We are currently recruiting for a HSEQ manager for a permanent position.
The HSEQ Manager will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems across both manufacturing and construction operations. This role ensures compliance with all relevant legislation and standards, fosters a proactive safety culture, and drives operational excellence through robust quality and environmental management practices.
Key Duties:
* Develop and implement site-specific Health & Safety policies for manufacturing and construction environments
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and identify hazards.
* Lead investigations into incidents and accidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for site and factory teams.
* Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, PUWER, LOLER, and other H&S legislation.
* Implement and maintain ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
* Monitor and report on environmental performance (waste, emissions, energy use).
* Ensure environmental compliance across sites and promote sustainability initiatives.
* Maintain and improve ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems across operations.
* Oversee quality control processes, inspections, and testing activities.
* Manage NCRs, conduct root cause analyses, and drive continuous improvement.
* Develop and report HSEQ KPIs to senior leadership.
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety.
* Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
* Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar HSEQ role within manufacturing and/or construction.
* Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and industry standards.
* Comfortable with travel across the UK to various sites
