Material Coordinator Client: BAE Systems Location: Portsmouth, UK (Onsite, Full Time) Contract: 6 Months (initial) Rate: £16.68 PAYE Overview BAE Systems Maritime Services seeks a Material Coordinator to manage and prepare materials and tooling for production, ensuring timely availability to meet production schedules. Key Responsibilities Allocate and kit materials/tooling for work orders. Coordinate with logistics and supply teams to meet schedules. Deliver kitted materials to laydown/dispatch areas. Resolve material/tooling issues via the Work Management Tool. Monitor consumables and support accurate ERP data. Review material usage with planners to improve future planning. Skills & Experience Knowledge of ship repair production and safety practices. Experience in logistics, material coordination, or production planning. Familiarity with ERP/task planning tools. SAP / material movements in a big organisation. Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
