Are you an experienced and safety-conscious banksman looking for a contract opportunity in the Hessle area? We have an upcoming requirement for a skilled individual to join a busy new build housing site, with a start date in June.
About the Role:
As a banksman, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe movement of vehicles and plant machinery around the construction site. Your key duties will include:
* Directing and guiding vehicle and plant movements safely and efficiently.
* Ensuring that all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with safety regulations.
* Maintaining clear communication with drivers and site personnel.
* Identifying and mitigating potential hazards related to vehicle and plant movement.
* Adhering strictly to site health and safety procedures at all times.
* Assisting with general site duties when required.
Skills / Experience:
* Proven experience working as a Banksman on construction sites, ideally within the new build housing sector.
* A valid and recognised Banksman/Traffic Marshall ticket.
* A strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to vehicle and plant movement.
* Excellent communication and signalling skills.
* Ability to remain alert and focused in a busy environment.
* A responsible and safety-conscious attitude.
* Reliability and punctuality are essential.
