This role is well suited to a candidate with a strong manufacturing operations background, with experience of overseeing a business function in a manufacturing setting.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, responsible for managing day‑to‑day Safety, Quality, Throughput and Cost for all plant Business Units.
* Accountable for leading the HSE legislative requirements and Zero Harm processes.
* Delivery of the Zero Defects programme and adherence to quality standards and procedures.
* Staff to the Throughput and Labour Plan.
* Accountable for the Business Unit P & L.
* Achieve Quality and Throughput goals, targets and expectations for the Business Unit.
* Ensure production plans are available and adhered to at key resources.
Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
* Demonstrated experience or exposure to a union environment (advantageous).
* Demonstrated experience managing people.
* Effective budget control and communication activities.
* Prioritising activities, continuous improvement activities and managing systems.
* Knowledge of ISO9001, OSHA18001 and ISO14001.
