Key Responsibilitiesof anAcademic Support Assistant:
* Provide tailored academic support to students across a range of subjects.
* Work 1:1 and in small groups to reinforce classroom learning.
* Help identify learning barriers and implement effective support strategies.
* Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to adapt learning materials and monitor student progress.
* Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence in learning.
* Support the classroom environment and assist in maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.
Academic Support Assistant Skills & Requirements:
* Previous experience in a school or academic support role is desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A calm, patient, and flexible approach to working with young people.
* A genuine interest in education and student development.
* Havean up-to-date CV(covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service(or be willing to apply for one)
