We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Ward Clerk with an interest in Women's Health and Early Pregnancy to join our busy female surgical ward (Beaumont Ward) and the Emergency Assessment area (EPAGU).
About the Ward
The ward has 14 inpatient beds, including 2 SDEC (Same Day Emergency Care) beds. Attached to the ward is the emergency unit - EPAGU (Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Assessment Unit). The ward is evolving into a more dynamic workplace, requiring the right applicant.
Role Details
The Ward Clerk will be expected to work on Thursdays and Fridays (07:30-20:00). They will primarily work on the ward but may be required to work in the clinic for short periods during their shift.
Responsibilities
* Providing support to all members of the clinical team
* Supporting the Ward Manager in clerical duties
* Facilitating the daily running of the department
Candidate Requirements
* Gynaecology/Early Pregnancy experience is desirable
* Understanding of sensitive subjects such as miscarriages
* Previous administration experience and knowledge of hospital systems is desirable
* Excellent communication skills
* Positive, professional, and proactive attitude
* Welcoming demeanor for patients, visitors, and staff
