About the Role:Redbridge Council is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Legal Services team, assisting with disrepair cases. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in housing and property law while supporting the council's commitment to safe and well-maintained housing for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist solicitors with disrepair casework, including reviewing evidence, drafting correspondence, and preparing case files.
* Conduct legal research relevant to housing and property law.
* Liaise with tenants, landlords, contractors, and other stakeholders.
* Support case management, ensuring files are accurate and up to date.
* Assist in preparation for hearings or settlement negotiations.
Person Specification:
* Qualified Paralegal or equivalent experience in housing, property, or public sector law.
* Strong understanding of disrepair legislation and processes is desirable.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Highly organised with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
