IT Manager
Location - London with Paris Travel
A world-renowned international education group with a heritage dating back more than 100 years is looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead technology operations across its London and Paris institutes.

This is a broad and hands-on leadership role where you'll take ownership of core infrastructure, user support, systems reliability and continuous improvement across two busy international sites. You'll have real autonomy, strong visibility across the business and the opportunity to make a genuine impact.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day smooth running of IT systems across both locations, ensuring stability, security and excellent service for staff and students. You'll also lead technical teams, manage suppliers and help shape future technology decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing servers, storage and virtualised environments
* Supporting networks, switches, routers, VPNs, WiFi and firewalls
* Overseeing Microsoft 365 administration and Azure cloud services
* Managing backups, disaster recovery and business continuity
* Supporting telephony, CCTV and access control systems
* Maintaining Windows Server environments, Active Directory and remote desktop services
* Managing SQL Server / MySQL backups, restores and user access
* Monitoring security, permissions, antivirus and intrusion prevention
* Maintaining documentation, operational manuals and inventory systems
* Leading, mentoring and developing IT support staff
* Managing budgets, procurement and external vendors
* Supporting wider global IT teams when needed
What We're Looking For
* Strong infrastructure and systems experience across enterprise environments
* Solid knowledge of Windows Server, networking and cloud platforms
* Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Proxmox or Xen environments
* Confident troubleshooting skills with a calm, practical mindset
* Ability to prioritise effectively and work independently
* Previous experience supporting varied IT environments
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
* Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
Desirable
* VMware, Microsoft or Linux certifications
* French language skills
* Exposure to lean six sigma principles
